Senior Science Technician
Required from January 2025
We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Science Technician to join the Science department at Kings. With experience of leading and managing others, you will have relevant subject knowledge, with confidence in handling chemicals. Risk management experience is essential, and you should be able to work independently and as part of a team.
The successful applicant will assist staff and students of the Science department in preparation, management, maintenance and use of department technical resources and equipment.
This is a part-time post, 42 weeks per year (term time plus 3 weeks), 36 hours per week. (Onsite between 8:00 -15:40 during term time) The pay scale is LPT6, salary range £ 28,290 – £ 30,341 pro rata (FTE £30,270 to £32,465 per annum).

Job Description and Person Specification – Senior Science Technician Dec 24
Examination Invigilators
Required from February 2025
We are seeking invigilators to join our established team for exams. We expect the individuals to be available for work during school hours during the period May to June. There will also be the opportunity to accept additional invigilating work throughout the year during periods of internal examinations and also external examinations held during November, December, February and March.
The role involves the support and supervision of internal and public examinations when required, as outlined in the attached Job Description and Person Specification. Full training will be given. Successful candidates should be flexible in their hours of work, reliable and able to work as part of a team. They should possess good organisation and communication skills and an eye for detail. Exam Invigilator – Job Description and Person Specification
Teaching Assistant
Required as soon as possible
We are seeking to appoint an experienced and innovative Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant and dedicated Special Educational Needs team at our 11-16 mixed, comprehensive school in Guildford.
Students with SEND are educated both in targeted small groups and in their mainstream classroom. The successful candidate will be working within all subject areas within the school. We are particularly interested in aspiring teachers who would like to gain further experience of working with young people before starting their training.
The post would suit applicants with flexibility, enthusiasm and sensitivity. An excellent understanding of SEND and other learning difficulties is essential. The candidate must be able to demonstrate a willingness to be a team player alongside our committed support team. SEND related training and the ability to run small group interventions would be advantageous.
This is a part-time post, 39 weeks per year (term time only), 30 hours per week. The pay scale is LPT-4, salary range £16,684 – £17,959 pro rata (FTE £23,072 – £24,836 per annum).
